The apartments are beautiful and huge for a reasonible price. You can also get some great locations in the city center or in the West End near the University

At first I stayed in Murano Street Village...fine for meeting other foreign students but location could have been more ideal. It was a bit far from school, clubs, city center, etc. Then I found a great student apartment in Hill Head (arranged by the university that was great)

Dont bring to much stuff that you want to bring back because you accumulate alot. The university provides most things ie dishes, blankets, etc

Final comments
Go to the Isle of Skye it is amazing. Go in the spring/summer when it is light for a long time.

Even having engligh as a first language it was sometime difficult to understand the very heavy Glaswegian accent. Especially for the foreign students for non english countries.

Prices are really on par with the dollar (at least in 97 they were check you current spot rates and foward rates to get an idea before you go)
