Amazing resturants in Bondi. Thai food was amazing. Depending on your mood, go out in Darling Harbor and the Rocks for upscale nightlife, local bars, Bondi, for laid back evenings. Oxford Street is also a great deal of fun.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Sydney is a great, energetic city. I would probaly move further away from campus to one of the beach suburbs (Bondi is amazing)

I loved Australia. The social life, acdemics and experience was amazing. One downside is that Australians, generally, were more racist than I expected. I did not realize how pc the United States was until I studied there.

I loved it. I caution people to look into any university before they go. Sydney is a big city, it is certainly not for everyone.

Personal spending habits
Sydney is cheap for Americans. Our dollar is worth considerably more. However, you will spend more than you originally budget.

Personal comments
Do not look at the Australian dollar and think you are spending less than with the American dollar. Look at them as equal, or you will spend twice as much as you wanted to...
