Personal spending habits
The currency exchange was more expensive for Europeans at that time. Moreover in my country of residence I live with my parents so it was an additional expense. Anyway the cost of life was affordable.

Most of the utilities you need in the house are provided by the Landlord.

Personal comments
Sharing everyday life with several other international and non students as well as living the campus social life is a very constructive and interesting experience. Besides, the way how this kind of accomodation is run is, in my opinion, quite valid and professional.

It could be that the level of classes are lower than in Spain although they are more direct, not so theory like in Spain I think this is better in some cases.

If you can get sober enough to book some bus tickets, do. Scotland's amazingly beautiful...the buses around the country are the cheapest option and are scenic. Give Edinburgh a go for a weekend, Sterling & Callander for a day trip, Inverness, Skye, hire a car and go camping with your friends for a few days. Also there are some cool places just outside of Glasgow to see for a day, the Trossachs, Loch Lomond, Arran Island etc. If you want to get out of Scotland, theres plenty of cheap flights/holidays out to mainland Europe via ryanair and easyjet. So then you and all your new friends can go on holiday together. Have fun!

I found my student union a nice place to hang over and at the same time there are good night spots like Trash,Cube which i find interesting here.Glasgow has number of places which should not be missed like Kelvingrove park,Glasgow Science Museum, number of old galleries and most importantly the beautiful countryside.

It is a long time I was in Glasgow, unfortunately I do not remeber the names of the best night spots. Anyway it was very easy to find them, just asking to the students were studying there for a long time. I suggest the area around Buchannan Street, going in the direction to the Glasgow University.
