35 pubs and 2 discos. Don´t miss it. It´s a small town but nightlife is amazing.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
On campus you`ll always have contact to other students and it is better organized than a private room. You won`t have any problems with landlords.

Personal comments
Rooms are hard to find. Never ever sign a contract for a specific time. There will be free rooms in halls of residence after the first few months. Try to get a room in Upper Bangor.

Everybody speaks English and most people are very communicative. You can hear Welsh everywhere. A fascinating language, worth listening to.

Final comments
Shortest way is to fly to Manchester and then go on by train. You`d better buy a trainticket in your homecountry. To travel by bus in Gwynedd and on the Isle of Anglesey is rather cheap. The nature (Snowdonia Nationalpark, Isle of Anglesey) is fantastic. Join the University Mountain Walking Club. It´s exhausting but worth doing it!!
