Most of the learning didn't came from the academic part but from the student experience of living abroad, interacting with so many people of different cultures.

For those who wants to travel, the english trains are really cheap if you book early, and the birmingham airport (where the ryanair company is present) is easy to access by train.

Great campus-based and very international university
Ingrid B
United Kingdom, Undergraduate
Economics, 2022
Overall
Overall, I’ve had a good experience at Warwick. My studies have been disrupted by Covid-19, and although the quality of teaching online is not the same as in person, I feel the university has coped well with the digital teaching transition and the standard of education has been maintained as far as possible.

Careers support from the university is abundant, but I feel it should offer more practical and hands-on help with finding and making live applications, rather than just abstract advice. There is also ample and easily-accessed wellbeing support, though I haven’t used/assessed it myself.

Lovely campus environment/community. Easy to navigate and feel part of the community and meet people - especially when living on-campus in the first year of undergraduate studies. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by the high proportion of international students; it’s great to study with and get to know people from around the whole world.

Warwick, a campus university with an amazing atmosphere

Overall
I'm really enjoying my time at the University of Warwick. My course, Engineering, is hard and there always seems to be an assignment or project to do but I'm never bored and I feel I'm learning a lot. The lecturers are helpful and and explain concepts clearly and I feel satisfied how my studies are going.
First year accommodation is on campus but one thing to note, there is no dining room, so students cook for themselves from day one or buy meals at the take outs. Social life is great and there are always loads of concerts, and things happening every day.
In my second year I 'm sharing a house with friends. Most students live in Leamington Spa, about a 20 minute bus ride from campus. For 300 pounds you can get a ticket which will enable you to travel to and fro as many times as you want on as many days of the year as you want. Not cheap but worth it in the end. The library is open 24 hours, useful if you need to pull an all-nighter when there are exams or assignment deadlines loom.
To conclude, a fantastic place to learn.

Careers
You can make an appointment to see the careers officer, however, I haven't had time yet.

Pros
Sports facilities with swimming pool, modern labs and lots of cafes and bars.
Cons
I think offering optional dining room services in the first year would be very helpful.

I wish I had known...
Not really .. I knew someone from Warwick who was in Munich as an Erasmus student the year before I went. Get in touch with these people (or with people from your University who are at the University you are going to) because they will be able to provide useful information!

Join clubs and societies .. work at Warwick Arts Centre (you don't get paid much but you can see concerts, films, theatre productions etc. for free!!) and enjoy yourselves. Make an effort to talk to the people in your classes and show that you are interested in meeting them!

Warwick has a strong international community and it is easy to just make friends there because everyone there wants to make friends, maybe because they have also just arrived, but think about whether that is really all you want from your stay abroad! Otherwise ... just enjoy!
