I found myself great improvement in English language learning after I came to study in London. Language is more important for us 'cause we are studying in Journalism. The course has provided many chances for us to practice. Writing, speaking, and reading. While language learning is a never-ending process. Should learn more during work experience afterwards...

My overall language and communication skills definitely improved troughout the study abroad programme. At the beginning you had to get used to the very British English, which was just a matter of time. Moreover I would say, that the experience was a great advantage when it comes to Business English and technical vocabulary.

It was good to have the possibility to chose modules together with english students cause a lot of the teachers were from abroad so if you want to learn the London way of speaking you have to have contact with the students that live in London.

To learn the language was not a reason for choosing London, but to perfectionate my skills and experience the city was main points. The fact that I spoke English before hand made it easier to consentrate on the academic parts of my studying.

Leaving and studying in a foreign country was challenging and exciting experience. I have met many friends and through combination of study and socializing I have substantially improved my English, both spoken and written.

ABOUT
The University of Westminster is located in the heart of central London, close to the bustling shopping areas of Oxford Street and Regent Street. In fact, our main headquarters building is located on Regent Street itself and dates back to the foundation of the institution, then the Royal Polytechnic in 1838. Additionally, we have a large campus in Harrow, slightly out of the centre of town, which offers a greener environment where students can study in brand new purpose built teaching accommodation. Our international reputation dates from our founding years as the first ever polytechnic to the present day as one of Britain's largest universities with around 19,000 students studying a wide range of full- and part-time courses.
The University has four campuses. Three located in central London and one in Harrow, suburban North West London.
