You do more things here then you would have done at home. For example, we go out 4 times a week, which I would never do at home. And everything in Vienna is a bit more expensive then in the Netherlands.

An exchange always cost a lot of money. Even though it is tempting, try to cook at home as much as possible, instead of going out for dinner, it can save you a lot of money.

Final comments
It is a very big and bureaucratic university. Have patience, it takes some times, before things are done. If you want to tavel, the lonely planet guide for Europe, is a really good one.

Best cafe is the museum cafe at museum quartier, very nice. Q-bar is really good, free cocktails on monday and tuesday and off course Volksgarten.
