BACKGROUND
Since it was established in 1950, (COMPANY NAME) has been launching innovative products in the health and well-being sectors and developing know-how in the fields of Dermo-Cosmetics, Rheumatology, Dental Care, Dermatology and Active Cosmetic Ingredients. Complementary activities, developing in perfect synergy. There are two fields in which (COMPANY NAME) is an undisputed leader:
- Skin care products for babies and pregnant women: Mustela Bébé and Mustela Maternité (stretch mark cream) are Europe's leading products in pharmacies.
- Piasclédine 300 leads the French market in specialist pharmaceuticals for arthritis.
Pharmacies play a pivotal strategic role in the development of (COMPANY NAME). The company has therefore chosen to mostly distribute its products on a selective basis to outlets where a pharmacist is present.
Thanks to the commitment of its 1,021 staff and a strong international presence via 16 subsidiaries and more than 101 countries distributing under contract, (COMPANY NAME) recorded sales of 267 M euro in 2019.

The brand has been distributed in Australia since 2008 with Expanscience Australia starting its own operation, based in Melbourne, on Feb 1st, 2014. Currently Mustela is the fastest growing baby skincare brand in the pharmacy market in Australia. Turnover should reach more than AU$ 4 million in 2021 with continued growth in the coming 5 years. 9 full-time employees are currently working within the company.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position will be accounting/financial management and operational management of the (COMPANY NAME) subsidiary under the supervision of the General Manager. The 'Responsable administratif et financier' shall be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial management, accountability requirements, legal, information technologies, logistics and human resources management of the company in Australia, as well as aiding managerial planning and commercial decision-making by providing appropriate advice, thus significantly contributing to commercial and cost efficiency gains. This position must assure the contractual integrity of all agreements entered into by the company, managing the procurement process and looking out for the interests of the subsidiary. The Responsable administratif et financier will ensure implementation and compliance with financial and administrative procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and serve as the financial liaison to Laboratoires Expancience HQ.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/SPECIFIC DUTIES

Accounting/Finance

Finance / Business Planning:
- Elaborate forecasts, budgets and mid-term Plans with the General Manager.
- Provide monthly reporting to the Group according to their rules, timelines and requirements
- Drive up profit/loss statements on channel and operation basis for profitability analysis
- Analysis of sales, margin and profits by sku and by customer
- Set up analysis tools and internal auditing procedures
- Decision making proposals to the General Manager

Accounting:
- Communicate monthly follow up
- Oversee accounting and ensure the financial reports integrity with Australian GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles), local law as well as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and Group Policy Procedures
- Administer Group internal control procedures
- Ensure relationship with audit company

Cash Management:
- Define and warranty cash collecting process
- Manage and follow up Days Sales Outstanding
- Control credit management and receivables. Manage litigations
- Control and manage stock levels
- Responsible for the daily cash management activity and cash forecasts
- Ensure banks relationships ensuring optimal and cost-effective service

Operations/Administration
Management:
- Implement CRM action plan and analytical tools
- Analyse sales efficiency by sales rep monthly
- Analyse distribution channels by region and define potential areas for development
- Create business strategies and propose action plans to GM accordingly
- Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues
- Analyse sales conditions by customer and propose growth generating actions (promotions, sell-out incentives) to GM
- Analyse retail pricing and propose a maximized yield policy to GM accordingly
- Analyse ROI of marketing actions and propose corresponding action plan to GM
- Fix and follow up the objectives of subcontractors
- Ensure daily follow up of same
- Negotiate and obtain finance for major projects if required

Information technology:
- Implement Group IT Policy / IT liaison to Group IT Department
- Ensure safety of both material and data
- Ensure relationships with service providers

Legal and Taxation:
- Warranty the compliance with local laws
- Ensure relationship with local authorities
- Manage relationship with lawyers
- Manage contracts and insurances in coordination with the Group legal manager

Human Resource Management:
- Oversee, direct, and conduct day-to-day operations of all HR related functions (e.g., benefits, hiring, terminations, payroll…)

Logistics/Procurement:
- Establish forecast and manage purchase process in compliance with Group procedures
- Ensure relationship with service providers
- Stock control
- Manage Office Assistant and Warehouse assistant regarding Supply chain matters
- Liaise with HQ to ensure procurement in time
- Achieve high purchase efficiency through tenders

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum experience of 2-3 years of relevant position within an industrial or distribution company, or within an audit company and in an international company or environment
* Master degree with specialization in finance or audit
* Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting practices and relevant laws
* Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to support business development through decision making support
* Deeply rooted result oriented
* Experience with computerized accounting and strong knowledge of EXCEL
* Fluent in English and French

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience abroad or with an international company
* Knowledge of cosmetics products / selective distribution
* Knowledge of logistics
* French speaker to interact with HQ teams
