Enabling an estimate of the technical cost of parts and assembly Supporting the engineering team in the design-to-cost approach Contributing to the preparation of target costs in the context of tenders and projects Performance measurement / KPIs Use of a suitable cost model to calculate the technical costs of the product Recognise the key cost drivers of the product Suggest improvements to the design to reduce technical and industrial costs Promote the cost culture in the development team Provide the cost breakdown for the product responsibilities Based on the design of the product and various assumptions (industry, procurement): Calculate the technical costs (target costs / can costs) of the product using a suitable tool Ensure that the product is fully realisable Review of the industrial process Ensuring the consistency of the assumptions Contribute to the improvement of the calculation process As a consultant for a process or product family Generate and formalise ideas for Design To Cost Formalise the savings opportunities Support technical business cases Working method Integration into a network (REX, practices, ...)
