Eiffage GC works on technical projects, mainly in France, including major rail, motorway, engineering structure, building and offshore installation projects. Through its local entity Eiffage GC UK Ltd, Eiffage GC is also working on the HS2 high-speed rail line between London and Birmingham. This technical project is part of the Group's international development drive. As part of the HS2 project in England, (COMPANY NAME) is looking for a Site Engineer and would like to offer this position on a VIE basis. Reporting to the Section Engineer, the Site Engineer is responsible for : * Provide site engineering duties within a geographical area of the Section. * Establish the level and survey control for the works, liaising with the Survey team and set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are made on a regular basis. * Assist the site management team to manage sections of the work/specific sub-contract packages. * Liaise with the client representative and designers over design issues/changes. * Take responsibility for checking and keeping records of delivered material, to ensure all materials used on site are in line with the specification. To include adequate checks on subcontractor materials. * Carry out checks on the sub-contractor's setting out. * Carry out checks for quality in accordance with the inspection and test plan throughout the contract and duly record. * Establish records; calibration documents and check registers for all instruments on site, including subcontractor's instruments. * Keep accurate records for excavations, reduce dig, concrete pours, reinforcement etc. and convey to commercial team. * Carry out surveys of completed works to record as-built conditions. * Assist in drafting method statements, task briefings and inspection and test plans. * Take reasonable care for the safety of themselves and of any other person who may be affected by what they do or fail to do at work * Co-operate with their employers or any other persons in the performance of their statutory duties. * Work in accordance with the EKFB BMS Policy and procedures

Ihr Profil:

Engineer Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with delivery team & client. English B1 Position on the project trace (between Banbury and Aylesbury)
