Along with the Director of Food & Beverage & Culinary Operations, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations.
The Junior Sous Chef is jointly responsible for the operation of the Aria Restaurant, Gentleman & Scholar Pub and Room Service kitchen, ensuring that all the outlets operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel, and that they are individually profitable. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that all chefs within the main Kitchen are working productively. Along with your roles as an operational Junior Sous Chef, ensuring the brand standards are maintained, you will also assist with the day to day administration of the department, dealing with any colleague issues and queries. You will ensure that all Chef's are actively engaged in their roles and will assist to maintain motivation in the department.
You will work on a shift rota basis, on a 48 hour a week contract. Due to the nature of the business, particularly during busy periods, you will be expected to work overtime when required.

We are looking for a strong Junior Sous Chef - A la Carte looking for a new and unique challenge, with experience in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards; preferably with experience in luxury international brands.
Qualifications in Kitchen Production (e.g. NVQ in Food Preparation or equivalent) will be required. Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential. Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred
