Role and Responsibilities
Serve as part of the e-Commerce team, responsible for building world class platforms to enable the best consumer experience. Be instrumental in building high scalability platforms for user interface frameworks. Test and troubleshoot service before fixing the automation. Investigate defects including what is failing and where it is failing. Design and maintain automated tests that provide functional, regression, and integration test coverage for applications and services. Research emerging test tools, trends, and methodologies and enhance existing systems and processes. Ensure new engineering projects are testable. Develop reporting tools and test metrics. Document software defects and determine root cause analysis for issues. Address multiple testing concerns such as functionality, performance, security, accessibility, and localization. Architect and implement scalable test automation infrastructures, test fixtures, and harnesses that will be utilized across multiple test and development teams. Represent test team in meetings with product and development teams. Work closely with release managers and devops to track the features released are healthy in production.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering with a focus in test automation framework development. Experience must include coding in C# or Java Object Oriented programming language; algorithms and data structures; backend API level testing and performance testing processes and tools; test planning and test metrics generation for web applications and services; hands-on experience with a relational database; and implementing Agile testing quadrants.
