PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
(COMPANY NAME)'s communications department, Global Corporate Affairs, builds credibility and corporate reputation for (COMPANY NAME) through integration, compelling content, and rapid execution.
(COMPANY NAME) News delivers compelling, credible information and news on a daily basis and in a journalistic way to all employees worldwide. Our mission is to engage employees as (COMPANY NAME)´s most important asset, inspire them, and give them a voice.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Working at (COMPANY NAME) News, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in online journalism. You will learn about both the editorial and technical aspects of running a multimedia online publication targeted at a global audience. You will get insight in and support a variety of projects targeted at informing and engaging employees.
Your tasks will comprise the following:
* Editorial support for our online employee news channel
* Technical support (e.g. content upload, editing, and publishing through our set of content management tools)
* Editing, translating, and proofreading of texts
* Research for and writing of articles and interviews on (COMPANY NAME)-related topics
* Project support
Preferred start date for the internship is as soon as possible for a duration of 6 months.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You are a currently enrolled student at a university or a university of applied sciences:
* Studying preferably in the fields: Journalism, Communications, Languages, Business Administration
* Having the following computer skills: MS Office, basic HTML and image processing/editing (e.g. with Gimp) are a big plus
* Speaking either English or German in mother tongue and you have excellent English/German writing and editing skills
* Besides that, you are self-motivated, proactive, creative and team-oriented
* and you bring editorial experience (not mandatory but a plus)
