(COMPANY NAME) Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) is a (COMPANY NAME) entity established in 1968 to support countries worldwide in preventing crime and facilitating criminal justice. UNICRI is mandated to assist intergovernmental, governmental and non-governmental organizations in formulating and implementing improved policies in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. This Job Opening is intended for two or more internship positions, which shall be located in the Training and Advanced Education Programme (TAE) of UNICRI. The TAE specifically addresses one of the core missions of UNICRI through the design and implementation of training programmes on matters related to crime prevention and criminal justice. In particular, the TAE Programme has developed a wide number of post-graduate programmes (including academic curricular at Master level and specialized short courses) and tailor-made capacity-building professional trainings at the request of Member States, judicial institutions and international organizations.
The internships are for an initial period of 2 months (preferably, the internships shall start in mid-January 2021), with an opportunity of an extension up to a total period of six months. The internships are UNPAID and full-time. Interns will work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of the Programme Management Officer.
It is expected that the internships will be done form the UNICRI premises in Turin, Italy; however due to the on-going international COVID19 emergency and related containment measures and restrictions, selected candidates can be requested to also telecommute (i.e. work remotely from home or any other location of their choice). Selected candidates can also be requested to alternate their presence on the site of UNICRI HQ in Turin, to ensure that the maximum amount of personnel allowed in the premises is not exceeded. Therefore, candidates must be able to telework and must have all necessary arrangements and equipment to perform assignments in teleworking. Should the COVID19-related restrictions and measures be removed, internship will be continued entirely from UNICRI's premises.
-Support the organization and implementation of the residential phases of the LL.M. in Transnational Crime and Justice as well as other training activities organized within the framework of the TAE Programme;
-Collect, file and draft analysis of the official evaluations submitted by the participants of the training activities;
-Provide inputs and assist in implementing the advertisement strategy for the upcoming post-graduate programmes and short courses, including the next edition of the LL.M. in Transnational Crime;
-Draft reports, PowerPoint presentations and other documents related to the activities of the TAE Programme;
-Maintain up-to-date filing system of project documents;
-Perform other duties upon request.
