Your Opportunity

Our Markham & Oakville offices are looking for Co-op or Intern Students to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team for September 2024 to April 2025 (8-month term). This role will offer experience with reviews, compilations, and corporate tax (not auditing).

The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

* Efficiently prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagement
* Prepare working files for income tax and information returns for a variety of client sizes
* Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
* Completion of ongoing accounting analysis and assignments following established procedures
* Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis

Your experience and education
* You are currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting
* You are interested in long term growth within the Financial Reporting & Insights team
* You may have experience or certifications with Quickbooks, Xero and/or Sage
* You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
* You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
