We are looking for students who are curious, motivated, and inspired by the idea of combining human and artificial intelligence in next generation vision-based perception systems.

What You May Work On

1. Generative Representation Learning for Driving-Scene Modeling

High quality ground truth is essential for developing safe and robust vehicle functions. You will help us build tools that generate, validate, and compare the data used throughout development of driving-scene prediction and understanding. The core idea is to develop a generative representation learning framework that can be used for multiple purposes.

You may work on:

* Automatic data annotation and label enhancement, including reconstruction of noisy or missing labels

* Novel-scene and rare-scenario generation, improving coverage of underrepresented situations

* Intelligent sample selection: using learned representations to identify diverse and informative training samples across datasets

* Understanding scenario difficulty through clustering and latent-space analysis

Student background:

* Studying your 3rd or 4th year of your M.Sc. program

* Great skills in Python, extra meritorious if you have experience with PyTorch

* Understanding of computer vision and autonomous driving perception is a plus

* Experience with generative models (VAEs, diffusion) is a plus

* As a person, you are innovative, solution-focused, and possess a strong drive
