The internship is in the Language and Communications Programme (LCP), Organizational Development Section (ODS), Office of Human Resources (OHR), Department of Management, Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC).
*The internship is for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extension.
*The internship is unpaid.
*Interns work full-time: seven hours per day (35 hours), five days per week (Monday-Friday).
*Interns report to the Intern Focal Point of the Language and Communications Programme.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Edit and brand materials for courses;
*Draft, edit, design and brand and potentially translate promotional and informational materials
*Plan and assist with additional language learning opportunities for the Language & Communications Programme;
*Help to plan and organize special events and presentations for the LCP as a whole of for any of the six language programmes (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish);
*Research, compile and edit information relevant to the current projects for the Language & Communications Programme (e.g., UN Language Framework and UN Curriculum design Gender-Inclusive Language Guidelines project, Online Language Learning Licenses project
*Assist with surveys: question design, implementation online, data collection, data analysis and data visualization;
*Assist with client registrations, especially in web-based courses or activities related to online learning;
*Give short informative presentations to enrolled students in face-to-face courses
*Help as needed with other pedagogical, knowledge management; marketing or administrative projects relevant to courses and other training opportunities we offer in the six official (COMPANY NAME) Languages
Interns will have the opportunity to:

To qualify for an internship with the (COMPANY NAME) Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
1. Applicants at the time of application must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
(b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent) in data/knowledge management, communications, applied linguistics or a field related to language learning and teaching or related area; OR
(c) Have graduated with a university degree as defined in (a) and (b) above and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
(d) If pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages, have completed at least four years of full time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a degree in data/knowledge management, communications, applied linguistics or a field related to language learning and teaching or related area;
2. Be computer literate in standard word processing and software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel or similar; Be proficient in standard office automation equipment scanner, printer, etc.).
3. Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the (COMPANY NAME) and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the (COMPANY NAME) Charter.
4. Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
