To strengthen our Technical & Manufacturing team, based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Junior Operational Excellence Engineer (VIE). About the role As a Junior Operational Excellence Engineer (VIE), you will be attached to the Operational Excellence team in Belgium Operational Maintenance & Excellence Manager and be part of the Technical and Manufacturing team. In this team, you'll be working alongside other VIEs, as well as more senior colleagues, who will be teaching, coaching and mentoring you. You will have the opportunity to apply lean manufacturing tools (5S, 5 why, Kaizen, etc.) to various subjects ranging from technical aspects to organisational processes. The Operational Excellence team covers the 3 Belgian production sites. You will be assigned preferably to one site (Marche-les-Dames or Jemelle), while taking part in a cross-functional dynamic aimed at exchanging good ideas and ensuring harmonisation within the plants. You will collaborate with a team encompassing the three production sites in Belgium, gaining exposure to various facets of Lime Manufacturing, including Mining, Processes, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement. Candidate Requirements:

About you: - Master's degree in industrial, Process, Chemical, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, logistic or relevant fields. - Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and a keen interest in manufacturing flows. - Knowledge and interest in digital tools such as PowerBI, Power App, and Excel are advantageous. - Autonomy with a willingness to learn from others and openness to feedback and development. - Pragmatic approach and enjoyment of analytical and organizational tasks. - Ability to interact with different departments and individuals at various seniority levels. - People-oriented with excellent communication skills. - Fluency in French is essential - Good level of English is required. - Flexibility to travel to the operational sites. Own transportation required (by car). - Preferably starting as of October or November, 2024
