Purpose of the job
Schneider Electric has launched an important program to transform the Finance function. It covers changes in culture, organization, processes, tools and existing competencies.
As part of the Business Finance and Accounting transformation, Competency Centers have been created in order to mutualize, standardize and optimize the ways of working. They provide services to the various Territories through from teams based in Poland, India, Philippines and China.
As part of this effort, the Global Transition team coordinates the projects to transform and transfer Business Finance and Accounting activities between Territories and Competency Centers as well as between Competency Centers
This role is part of the Global Transition Team to support the Transition team based in Poland for Transitions incoming to and outgoing from the competency center in Warsaw.
Support the Transition Project Managers in their various activities to facilitate the Transitions
Among others, the Assistant Project Manager will
participate in various projects with several Project Managers
contribute to the analysis phase by collecting data
propose data collection and analysis templates improvements
prepare presentations on behalf of Project Managers
coordinate project logistics for Gap analysis and Knowledge Transfer phases
prepare meeting minutes and action plans under supervision of project managers
After a period of training, act as interim Project Manager when the PM in charge is not available
Through these activities the Assistant Project Manager will learn about the Schneider-Electric background, the Competency Centers organization and the Project Methodology and gradually be exposed to stakeholders in order to develop into a Junior Project Manager. He/She will be given the opportunity to grow in this function during the duration of the VIE
Profile and Competences
Education: University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Related Field
Technical Field: Finance and Project Management
Work experience needed: 1- 2 YEARS in Finance/Audit/Controlling
Technical skills: Finance and/or Project Management (if possible)
Requested languages (marked as bilingual, fluent, well known, basic knowledge): French bilingual, English fluent, any other language is a plus
Personal abilities or skills: Communication and Presentation skills
Main features about the place (plant/GTC/…, nb of employees, type of products…): the work environment is a Competency Center (Financial Shared Service Center) serving Business Finance and Accounting for the European entities of Schneider Electric with about 300 persons.
Composition of the team: The Transition team in Poland is composed of 4 people who are either Project managers or Senior project managers
Other people the VIE interacts with as part of the business activities: The VIE will interact with the Competency Center operational teams in Warsaw and the countries Finance teams in Europe.
Business trips : Yes if possible when needed
