CGG is replacing their HR Generalist based in our Abu Dhabi office, covering the Middle-East region.

The HR generalist will be responsible for a scope of around 140 people across multiple countries (Oman, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Egypt) and business lines.

Stand alone role, but very well connected with the rest of the EAME HR team, you will support the business in their people challenges, roll out group initiatives in your countries and design dedicated ones for your specific challenges.
You will report into the VP HR for Northern Europe and Middle-East.

Principle Accountabilities:

- HR contact for all employees including local contracts and expat.
- HR Operations :
o Ensure compliance of contracts and policies with local regulations
o Advise managers, HR and employees on payroll topics (ex : Wage Protection system)
o Advise and lead new projects related to benefits
o Contact for absence management system
o Support managers in Performance management processes
- Local HR Business Partner:
o Support & advise in the local implementation of the specific HR strategies for each Business Line
o Support the local and regional managers for people topics related to the business operations
- International mobility :
o Key stakeholders in the International Mobility network - escalate and cascade information and new policies
o Support locally the expat and the new comers for the topics related to their foreign assignment (including immigration, relocation etc …)
- Responsible for the local implementation of the Group HR cycle
o Objective settings and Performance review
o Individual development plan
- Learning and Development
o Support the development of the employees in the region
o Collect employees' training needs and coordinate the training plan implementation with CGGU
o Ensure HSE trainings are available and taken
o Identify local needs to be answered with ad hoc actions
o Provide inputs and analysis for BL people reviews
- Compensation :
o Lead the salary cycle for the Middle-East countries - coordinate with home countries for expat
o Escalate information in order to build a relevant budget
o Lead the Bonus distribution process
- Recruitment
o Lead or support the staff need (replacement/job creations/temp) identification with local management or BL HR
o Source directly or through local agencies candidates for jobs
o Support the local management in building or sustaining good relations with local universities
o Lead the HR interviews
- Ad hoc projects for Corporate or SI EAME


This opportunity is aimed at a Human Resources Professional with a first experience (1 to 2 years) as HR generalist or specialist (C&B or L&D).
In order to be successful in the position, we will require from the candidates:
- Strong business acumen
- Outstanding service focus & Customer orientation, in identifying and understanding the needs of the stakeholders, in providing holistic analyses including risks analyses and in giving qualitative and prompt answers to them
- Excellent relations skills with an ability to adapt to the environment and to people, ability to listen and good communication skills. Flexibility and diplomacy are strong assets to adapt to the environment.
- Capacity to build quickly a remote network
- The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate high level of self-motivation, as well as the ability to learn quickly and work autonomously.
- Strong work ethics
- Being fluent in English
- BsC minimum qualification, MsC in Business, HR, Law. Sociology Psychology will make a difference
