About you and this role

As part of the SC Rotational Program, the SC Rotational Program Specialist is able to develop Dow experience to operate at the forefront of corporate innovation, strategy and service delivery. The Rotational Program Specialists serves the business' supply chain, logistics operations, and improvement operations.
The SC Rotational Program Specialist is part of a 2 year rotational program between business supply chain, improvement and logistics.

In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.

It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.


Responsible for what, when and where to produce for one production site, multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site
Ensure the materials are available in the desired quantities to deliver on time and in a cost-effective manner to the customers
Balance the forecasted demand with the production utilization that influences the supply capabilities by working cross-functionally - this includes managing inventory levels and global supply decisions on a short- to mid-term time frame and determining and taking on improvement opportunities
Responsible to provide and apply logistics knowledge and expertise to support the objectives of one or multiple business units
Advise business or functional clients regarding carrier management, responsible care, warehouse management, international trade or transport mode specific technical knowledge and cross functional support
Responsible for identifying, assessing and supporting improvement projects within one of the Supply Chain or Logistics departments at a tactical or strategic level (e.g. inventory, purchasing costs, production costs, logistics costs, product quality, asset utilization, productivity and customer service)


University degree (master preferred) in a discipline demonstrating logical thinking or computational skills (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Mathematics and certain sciences)
NA only: relevant military experience of an E6 ranking or higher
Less than 18 months professional experience
