We are looking for a Graduate Trainee (Actuarial Pricing - Liability) to join our (COMPANY NAME) Commercial Graduate Program, based in Singapore.

Our Team:

You will join our Global Pricing team which is responsible for supporting actuarial methodology and case pricing for all lines of business that AGCS writes. This international team, located across London, Munich, Singapore, Bucharest, and North America has grown to 80 people globally and will provide lots of opportunities for diverse experience and exposure.

Reporting to the Head of Global Pricing - Liability, you will assist the Regional Actuarial Lead in the local Singapore office in supporting actuarial methodology and pricing of Liability risks.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparation of case pricing of individual accounts in an Excel-based in-house tool, including data cleaning and insurance structure set ups.

* Deep-dive profitability reviews. This will involve preparation of the data and review of individual accounts and/or business segments, as required.

* Establishing an excellent working relationship with the Underwriting teams to ensure their long-term support for technical pricing concepts and pricing tools.

* Contributing to the development of the Pricing processes.

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills

* Expected to graduate with a university degree by June 2024 in a related field (Accountancy, Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance etc.).

* Fluency in English is mandatory and fluency in other Asian languages is advantageous.

* Knowledge or prior experience in an insurance related company is advantageous.

* Strong desire to learn the ropes in preparation for a career in the insurance industry.

* Strong problem-solving abilities, including demonstrated tenacity at data mining to discover root causes of results is advantageous.

* Team player with strong service quality mind-set, adaptable, analytical, independent, meticulous, proactive, reliable, resilient, self-motivated, and willing to learn.

* Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

* Duration: This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months on our Graduate Programme you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that (COMPANY NAME) Commercial offers.

* Expected Start Date: 01 July 2024
