The internship is located in the Conference Support Section (CSS), Organized Crime and Illicit Trafficking Branch (OCB), Division for Treaty Affairs (DTA), (COMPANY NAME) Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna, Austria. The position is for a period of 6 months starting in February 2022.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.

Daily responsibilities will vary and depend on the individual's background. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
*Assist the team in the development and implementation of awareness-raising activities, on the (COMPANY NAME) Convention against Transnational Organized Crime
*Support the development of UNODC's communication and advocacy, creating new web stories, social media content (incl. management of UNODC SHERLOC Twitter account), and campaign materials and upload on relevant platforms
*Develop ideas and advocacy material to promote the SHERLOC Portal (sherloc.unodc.org)
*Prepare monthly reports for website and social media analytics
*Help with the editing of additional website content information
*Conduct research relevant to the work of UNODC and the (COMPANY NAME) Convention against Transnational Organized Crime
*Undertake other tasks and activities as requested

Applicants for an internship must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); or (c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) (OFFICIAL PROOF FROM THE UNIVERSITY IN SUPPORT OF ONE OF THE ABOVE OPTIONS HAS TO BE ATTACHED TO THE INSPIRA APPLICATION).
A field of study in communications, media studies, journalism or a related area is required. Alternatively, applicants could be enrolled in the final year or have completed studies in political and social sciences, economics, international relations, law with relevant proven familiarity in the fields of communication and/or advocacy.
Applicants must be computer literate in standard software applications. Knowledge of content management systems and related software applications is an advantage. Working knowledge of graphic design, online photo and video editing and experience with social media management would be an advantage.
