Janssen is looking for hardworking and driven early in career leaders to join our team as a Medical Information Associate Intern for 8 Months in our Toronto office. The Medical Information Associate Intern is a product knowledge and therapeutic area professional who provides high-level clinical communications and support to healthcare professionals and assists in optimizing medical information delivery to customers.\n\n

Major Responsibilities:
* Provide scientific, product/therapeutic area, and disease state subject matter expertise to internal and external customers\n\t
* Research and prepare written responses summarizing clinical literature on Janssen products\n\t
* Respond to product-related inquiries from HCPs, consumers/patients, sales representatives, and other internal customers\n\t
* Work closely with business partners in the development and implementation of departmental projects and initiatives\n\t
* Deliver scientific support as required in training of new business partners on product-specific knowledge\n\t
* Identify and report adverse events and product complaints for Janssen marketed products according to internal procedures and timelines established in standard operating procedures (SOPs)\n\t
* Support departmental, local and/or global Medical Information projects that provide innovative solutions to optimize and improve deliverables to external and internal customers\n\t
* Responsible for timely and accurate data entry into applicable Medical Information systems; ensures data integrity\n\t
* Actively participates in knowledge exchange and sharing of key Medical Information processes, lessons learned and process efficiencies\n

Job Knowledge Requirements:\n\n\n\t
* \n\t
Recently completed a degree in Pharmacy, Nursing or Medicine, or a PhD in health science (Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychology, etc)\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Experience in a range of therapeutic areas an asset (e.g., diabetes, neuroscience, vaccines, pulmonary hypertension, immunology and oncology)\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare guidelines/policies preferred\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Project Management experience an asset\n\t\n\n\n
Technical Competency Requirements:\n\n\n\t
* \n\t
Ability to verbally communicate information to HCPs\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Ability to research, interpret and translate information into communications to HCPs and business partners\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and process adherence\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Strong communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Shown competencies for creativity, and problem-solving\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Shown ability to work independently and in team settings\n\t\n\t
* \n\t
Shown ability in the use of technology applications (eg. Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Adobe) are required\n\t\n\n\n
