The team

At (COMPANY NAME), User Assistance teams are responsible for designing and developing all types of information that help our customers to deploy, operate, and use our software successfully. The Analytics User Assistance team contributes to the success of (COMPANY NAME) Analytics Cloud. We specialize in writing microcopy for the software UI, defining terms for key concepts, and developing online documentation and video tutorials.

Your mission

During your internship, you will be responsible for making updates to user software UI texts and online Help. Your activities will include writing content, designing images, and creating tutorials in collaboration with User Assistance colleagues, Product Managers and Developers. You will develop all your materials in English.

Learning and tutoring

You will learn the end-to-end process of content design, localization, and delivery at (COMPANY NAME) and receive training in DITA (industry standard XML protocol for technical documentation). You will also receive training for the tools and processes you will be using to develop online Help, software UI texts, graphics and video tutorials.

You will be supported by an experienced User Assistance colleague at your location and by a network of User Assistance experts and editors worldwide.

Skills required

* Excellent level of English (written and spoken)

* Keen interest in new technologies and software applications in general (knowledge of HTML, XML or JavaScript or knowledge of DITA CMS is an advantage)

* Ability to analyze the learning needs of diverse user groups

* Visual/graphics skills (knowledge of Photoshop or Camtasia Studio is an advantage)

* Team player, who enjoys collaborating with others

Qualifications

You are studying for a university-level qualification in English and/or technology.

Prefer you to work at least 2-3 days/week for 6 months, can be extended. And be better onboard ASAP.
