Job Summary:

(COMPANY NAME) is looking for two full-time User Experience Researchers to further develop our mobile product for students around the world. We have ambitious goals to provide access to several emerging market countries, and have a diverse audience to serve that will create constant stimulating design challenges.

These positions will initially be presented with some market, user, and design issues to investigate, with the intended output demonstrating an understanding of the users' needs, behaviors, experience, and motivations using various qualitative and quantitative methods to inform the process of solving users' problems.

The will mainly consist of many iterations of discovery (What do users need? What is already working and what isn't?), yet will lead to the initial stages of development, and working through prototypes and wireframes from a usability perspective with our current designer.

You'll work closely with a Product Manager, Content team, developers, and product-marketing working together to rapidly scale user growth via a high impact product.

You'll enjoy working with students and young people to understand their thinking and behaviour to create delightful experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Evolve and lead the research of the product to improve user experience and retention.
Produce wireframes, prototypes and UX requirements documentation.
Understand mobile customer insights and data to deepen our understanding the user needs, behaviors, and mental models
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
Test designs with users and synthesize feedback
Standardize gathering of user requirements, in collaboration with product owners and engineers.


The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Strong affinity for the digital lifestyle and zealous drive to make interactive technology better for real people.
A Designer's Eye - Should be able to translate complex concepts and interactions into visually coherent wireframes or prototypes. This is a creative position.
An outgoing personality and ability to interact excellently with users and gather feedback.
Independence - The ability to make things happen with limited direction. Excellent proactive attitude, take-charge personality, and "can-do" demeanor.
You are an analytical thinker, with an eye for simple yet powerful solutions
Deep understanding of working across cultures
Experience within education technology products is a big plus, but not required
High proficiency in English
