Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a SkillBridge Internship-Multi-slide Operator, Mentor Needles Dept. based in Cornelia, GA. This role works on a rotating 12-hour schedule that averages to 42 hours per week (36 hours in one week followed by 48 hours the next week).

About this SkillBridge Opportunity:
This SkillBridge internship will support our Needles Department Team at Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson Company. The internship will be based in our Ethicon location at Cornelia, GA.

The ideal candidate for this role does not need formal experience in healthcare or medical devices, but will require higher education (preferably in a STEM field) and a successful record of progressive leadership experience in the Military. This position provides the opportunity to gain both technical and business leadership experience in a global healthcare corporation.
Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

* Sets up production equipment to produce subassemblies or finished products.
* Ensures production equipment is properly set up.
* Checks products on assembly line to confirm that they are properly assembled and remove defective products. Compiles records and reports on quality inspection results.
* Cleans, maintains and performs basic repairs on equipment as needed.
* Schedules maintenance and/or repairs on equipment as directed.
* Prepares accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, and special projects. Troubleshoots production problems.
* Reports and documents unresolved production problems.
Qualifications

* Minimum of one-year previous experience in one or more of the following skills: mechanics, stamping, tool and die, machining, punch press operation or related field is required
* Computer and database management skills required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills is required
* Problem solving skills is required
* Must have hands on mechanical skills and experience
* Accurate record keeping is required
* Working knowledge of basic hand tools (i.e. screwdrivers, wrenches, snips, cutters) is required
* Working knowledge of inspection equipment (i.e. optical comparators, micrometers, microscopes, plug gauges) is preferred
* Working knowledge of shop math such as decimals, fractions, and tolerances is required
* This role is based in Cornelia, Georgia and works on a rotating 12-hour schedule that averages to 42 hours per week (36 hours in one week followed by 48 hours the next week).
