Job Description Summary:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Innovation Intern will report to the OU Europe Category Lead Dairy & Coffee Manager. S/He provides technical project management support for new launches related to Plant Based and Coffee that may involve product and /or package development. Supports primarily respective Central Operating Unit (OU) Europe Marketing Category teams, as well as country driven initiatives in need of R&D support.
On top of managing regular technical project management work, and for the projects providing support, Intern acts as an advisor to Marketing and Franchise team members in making fact-based decisions around new launch Business Cases and provides necessary facts, insights and troubleshooting alternatives for assisting effectively decision making and successful implementation against established objectives.

KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
* Co-ordinate new product development projects from Ideation to Market execution in close collaboration with Category Lead advisor as well as R&D and Coke Concentrate/Ingredient Supply plant in Ireland (CPS).
* Additional involvement to special cross Technical border assignments like assist Packaging.
* Seek feedback from Franchise Operations Managers to ensure new formulas are produced in the due dates without quality and supply issues.
* Assess the risks and ensures that production and distribution feasibility as well as adequate resource allocation and early worked upon contingencies (Plan B).
* Ensure that the performance of the delivered development is meeting the quality specifications defined in design phase, that new product developments are fully assessed by other technical functions against local regulatory framework (SRA), Quality & Food Safety (QSE), as well as against our Corporate Reputation Strategy.
* Ensure formula management process and approvals are in place, following Corporate Policies.
* Drive Speed to Market by finding the fastest possible ways to implement, while taking no compromises against delivering Highest Quality product for our consumers.
* Avoid (unless absolutely necessary) the use of unique/new to KO system ingredients that have long lead times for approval and increase write off risks for CPS.
* Closely monitor and help minimize Ingredient/Packaging write-offs.
* Work closely with CPS, Bottler SC team on formula harmonization and value optimization projects.
* Foster proper Post Launch/After Action Reviews are executed and documented for each of the launches.
* Assist to retrieve data against agreed KBI Metrics on the most efficient way.
* Track progress against defined Metrics and Objectives to timely spot deviations and define alternative course of actions/corrective measures/opportunities
* Positively influence Common Innovation Framework (CIF) implementation and always make sure projects are accurately reflected in CokeWorks database.
* For any projects leading, Act as Leader and ensure Technical member timely submission of input to projects.
* Timely provide necessary input to Finance for Value Chain development (e.g. COGs)

RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
* Masters degree related to science, food technology, engineering, project management, or related.
* Proficient in English.
* Previous working or academic experience from Dairy/Non Dairy, Coffee will be a plus (optional).
* Basic level Project management and effective multitasking, follow up, and delegation skills.
