Internship Overview

We are currently looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team from June to December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, student communications, and international education.



Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (35 hours/week, including 1-hour lunch break)

Location: CEC Admissions Office, Saint Patrick’s Bridge, Cork

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Bonus: Experience with video editing is a plus!



Key Responsibilities

As a Marketing Intern, you will support the team in growing our digital presence and improving the student journey. Responsibilities include:

Creating and compiling marketing reports (Google Analytics, Google Ads, CMS, etc.)
Website maintenance and updates (WordPress)
SEO and keyword optimization
Lead generation and email nurturing workflows
Researching market trends and competitors
Creating content for our website and online directories
Assisting in social media planning and content creation (Instagram & Facebook)
Using Canva for designing promotional visuals
Supporting digital campaigns and other marketing initiatives


Additional Support Opportunities

You may also assist other departments (as needed), such as:

Supporting student social events and activities
Helping with student welcome packs and orientation
Assisting at the front desk during busy periods

Candidate Requirements:

Relevant Marketing Experience/skills:
• Understanding of basic marketing principles
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices
• Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design (Canva)
• Experience with Wordpress and CMS
• At least B2 level of English with very good speaking skills. Candidates take the CEC placement test to confirm their level.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
• Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Previous experience with the use of Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), video editing tools and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Facebook business) a plus.
