About the role

As a Electrical Craft Technician in our versatile team at the home of Baileys Original Irish Cream in Mallusk, you will be responsible for contributing to the achievement of site Key Performance Indicators through production and quality focused operation and maintenance of the site equipment.

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical maintenance background and will have experience working to World Class standards of maintenance and Continuous Improvement within a FMCG environment.

The Electrical Craft Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all equipment and the quality of goods leaving the area. Working to Compliance standards e.g., H&S, C & E, Statutory regulations, you will carry out a wide range of electrical tasks including fault finding, repair work, reading drawings, maintenance of electrical circuit / systems component and motor replacement and problem solving.

You will respond promptly and appropriately to plant emergency and breakdown situations as well as other routine electrical and/or mechanical maintenance tasks, you will analyse, fault find and repair problems to ensure downtime is minimized.

Working with industrial plant maintenance, conveying systems, high speed packaging plant and automated control systems.

You will accurately record and promptly report the outcome of maintenance problems, via the SAP maintenance system, to facilitate the sharing of standard methodology.

Health and safety compliance is key, and you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets.

About you

Candidates must have a recognised apprenticeship with Electrical Engineering qualification, ONC or above.

Post apprenticeship experience in industrial maintenance and electrical installation/maintenance activities, ideally within a FMCG environment

Understands Asset Performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent process improvement within a Manufacturing Excellence working environment.

Numerate and literate with a minimum grade C GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, you will have PC skills including Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous experience in the use and application of Computer Maintenance Management Software would be helpful.

We're looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.

Able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. You'll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.

You'll be working alongside both internal and external partners.
