Job Description :
Packaging Operator Apprentice
Belfast

"It's the best thing I've ever done. It's built me up as a person."
Erin McKenzie - Apprentice
(COMPANY NAME) apprentices have the best of all worlds. Our on-site, hands-on, fast-learning programmes are perfect for people who are curious and have a willingness to learn. If you want to gain an industry recognised qualification that will set you up for a career to be proud of, you're in the right place.

Take our Operator Apprenticeship. Based in our Belfast packaging sites, this two-year programme is an exciting blended learning approach of on-the-job training and workplace assessments - right at the heart of an enormous global manufacturing operation. We take this seriously, so we'll take your future seriously.

Who are we?
(COMPANY NAME) is one of the world's leading producers of premium drinks. We have an outstanding collection of over 200 brands, old and new, large and small, global and local - that are enjoyed in more than 180 countries around the world.

How does the programme work?
Every week you'll find yourself in the workplace and completing your learning towards your vocational qualification. You'll have in-depth training on the different machines and different bottling lines. You'll learn the end-to-end manufacturing process including quality checks, process improvements, line stoppages, machine maintenance and fault-finding, among much else.

Your vocational learning will give you an introduction to the principles of manufacturing excellence and you'll learn about food safety, quality, environment and health & safety. And at the end of the programme, you'll roll off with bags of experience and a Level 2 in Food Industry Skills if you are in. But most importantly you will have a genuine prospect of a job and career.

Who are we looking for?
On the qualification side, you'll need 3 GCSE's including English and Mathematics and a relevant technical or science subject.

But character is everything. You'll need to be a tenacious problem-solver, who's proud of getting a great job done, and someone who shows integrity, respect for others and, above all, a passion for learning something new every day.

What are the rewards
The First Year apprentice salary is decided by the Real Living Wage which means we offer very competitive starting salaries for our apprenticeships along with an industry leading benefits package. With everything you can learn here, and the long-term opportunities we have to offer, the (COMPANY NAME) Operator apprenticeship could just be the best decision you've ever made.
