(COMPANY NAME) internship - Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Team Africa, Middle East & Eastern Europe

Are you a graduate student, passionate about sustainability, communication and reputation and looking for an experience in an international environment?

As a Corporate Affairs intern with team Africa, Middle East & Eastern Europe (AMEE), you are a key player in our team. You will contribute to defining, communicating and managing pan-African projects and connect with many international stakeholders.

The AMEE Corporate Affairs team includes a wide range of functions: Sustainable Development, Communications and Governmental and Regulatory Affairs. We support the local teams in 14 countries all over the African continent and Maghreb, in diverse projects involving every aspect of our operability with a strong focus on sustainable development.

In short, this internship is a unique opportunity to explore different functions and develop a diverse skill set within one of the most dynamic regions in the world.

We are currently working partially at the office and from home. However, you will be virtually and actively supported by the team in executing your tasks. We are happy to welcome you to the team!

The internship is available as soon as possible for the duration of 6 months, 40 hours a week.

Your responsibilities

In this internship you will be responsible for:

* Supporting initiatives related to our AMEE Corporate Affairs agenda;

* Project management of sustainability projects (e.g. recycling in Nigeria, Inclusion & Diversity in the region)

* Gathering intelligence and analyse policy and political developments of relevance to our business in the region (e.g. Covid restrictions, alcohol & health policy);

* Creating fresh content for our regional editorial calendar and managing our internal and external communication channels;

* Participating in the discussions on, and development of, our regional CA agenda and storytelling, create exciting content to tell our Africa story;

* Supporting with relevant projects in the team and department and other ongoing activities.

Your profile

You are a student in your Master's, preferably related to Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and/ or Sustainability and you have the following:

* Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects

* Excellent written & verbal communications skills

* Project management skills

* Interest and affinity with Africa and Middle East region

* Ability to connect with diversity of people and cultures

* Pro-active and flexible mindset, eager to learn

* Advanced in Microsoft Office Programs (PowerPoint/Excel)

* Knowledge of PowerBi and/or other data analysers is a plus

* Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal. Knowledge of French is desired but not necessary
