Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible.
Duration: 6 months

We can support this internship with a thesis subject. It is for this reason we do require an availability of 32-40 hours per week to work on the projects.

In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better
And be familiar with the customer/vendor finance activities of a multinational and the full range of customer financing solutions/products. You will gain insight in what customer financing solutions look like and what international banks have to offer.

You are responsible for
* Assisting the team in setting up a database, reporting and monitoring system for on- and off-balance sheet financing positions for global markets (at customer level)
* Developing a database, reporting and monitoring system monitoring various exposures, equity stakes, interest rates and/or FX risks and hedging thereof
* Maintaining the Risk & Portfolio Management Data base (credit approvals, Return On Invested Capital, Philips Investments and Alliances Committee approvals)
* Conducting financial research and credit research
* Preparing professional presentations and training materials

You are a part of
Global Customer Financing team, responsible of developing and providing financing solutions for our customers in the Healthcare business. Philips Capital is there for all Global Philips activities, contributing to the growth of Philips by actively offering customer-financing solutions.

You will be working at our head office in Amsterdam.

Due to the current COVID19 situation, we do support you working from home. Depending the rules and conditions as provided by our Philips Management, we might be able to grand you visit our offices.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following
* Currently studying towards your University Bachelor in Sciences or Master in Sciences WO (Msc.) in: Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, (Business) Economics
* You have affinity with Corporate Finance and Financial Markets
* You are an experienced user in Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and Salesforce (preferred; if not we offer you training)
* You have a good overview of what the banks and other financial institutions have to offer as Philips preferably finances its customers with external bank funding.
* You have strong communication skills and like to work in teams in a dynamic environment of a new company; multi-tasking, stakeholder management
* You are accurate and is self-starter with good communication skills in English

In return, we offer you
Internship opportunity where you will learn about customer/vendor finance activities of a multinational. You will be part of a dynamic, international team and be part of the Philips talent network.

Our intern remuneration package:
* Monthly full-time allowance between EUR500 - EUR900 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
* Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, EUR300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, EUR255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
* Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. EUR145,- net
* Paid holidays per internship term.
* The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop
