The intern student will work in the logistics procurement organization, a worldwide team focused on the alignment and negotiations with logistics providers to ensure (COMPANY NAME) has a competitive logistics network. This includes all transportation lanes (from intercontinental air/rail/ocean to regional trucking), crossdocking and warehousing, and other logistics services.
In this position you'll learn the worldwide logistics market dynamics and its current challenges. It will also help you understand the logistics' requirements of a tech industry, and best practices in how to engage with providers to best fulfil (COMPANY NAME)'s business needs in a financial, social, and environmentally sustainable way.

Main tasks:
General support to the procurement organization with activities including but not limited to:
* Data gathering, compilation, and analysis to support mgmt. decisions on new logistics projects. Summarize key takeaways in visual presentations.
* Designing, improving, and/or analysing key metrics to track overall carriers' performance (service, sustainability, cost…).
* Support in tracking & summarizing current logistic market trends and (COMPANY NAME)-internal situation.
* Participate in the development of new logistics initiatives.

Required education and overall experience:
* Master or Bachelor student, preferably with engineer/numeric background and knowledge in logistics.
* English level advanced and strong communication skills.
* Solid analytical skills.
* Willingness to work in a very ambiguous and dynamic environment.
* Proactiveness, teamwork, and very good ability to synthesise.
* Familiarity with world's geography is preferred.
