Position Summary

The Nutrition "Strategic Business Unit" (SBU) is part of the Nestlé Group. Its mission is to nurture a Healthier Generation. At the Nestlé Development Unit (NDU) Nutrition in Orbe, we develop new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Infant Cereals and Healthy Snacks for Nestlé worldwide. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories around the world.

In this position, you will be responsible to develop tailor-made analytical methods to support R&D launches in the baby food category. In addition, you will be part of a team working in close collaboration with Nestlé Research, R&D teams in USA and Switzerland, and engaging with external parties.

A day in the life of Intern in Physical Methods Development

* Develop physics methods (hardness, dissolvability) linked to texture to support launch of infant products
* Look and reach out to external partners (institutes, universities) for reference methods and future collaboration on the topic.
* Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams (Nestlé Research, Quality Assurance teams) to meet project's objectives.
* Perform tests according to Scientist plan in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
* Ensure on time delivery of qualified data

What will make you successful

* Successfully completed Bachelor degree (or completed/ongoing Master degree) in Physics, Material Sciences or equivalent
* Knowledge in rheology is an asset
* Passionate about food
* Curious, willing to learn with strong communication skills
* Ability to work on multiple assignments at the same time
* Fluent in English, French is a plus
