The internship position is with the UN Library at Geneva in support of the Information Technology team.
The internship will last a maximum of 6 months. The internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five (5) days per week under the supervision of a staff member in the Section.
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with archival research
- Assisting with translation tasks
- Social media updates
- Basic multimedia content creation (video, photo: shooting, editing)
- Assisting with website management
- Assisting in event organization
- Helping to establish and maintain relationships with institutional and independent partners
- Perform other duties as required.

To qualify for an internship with the (COMPANY NAME) Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
-Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in Information and Technology Sciences will be an advantage; (b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent); or (c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation;
-Be computer literate in standard software applications; proficiency in HTML, CSS and/or Drupal, and/or elementary programming skills is desirable;
-Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the (COMPANY NAME) and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter;
-Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

Fluency in French or English and knowledge of the other is required.
