(COMPANY NAME) Reality Labs - Mobile Vision is seeking Research Interns to join our Zurich team, and work in advancing the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning by making fundamental advances in technologies to help interact with and understand our world. Our interns have an opportunity to make core algorithmic advances and apply their ideas at an unprecedented scale. Our interns also get the chance to publish at top tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, and ECCV. We are seeking individuals passionate about building next generation computer vision models to synthesize, represent, and manipulate 2D and 3D data.

Research Scientist Intern, Mobile Vision (PhD) Responsibilities

*

Perform research to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines.

*

Perform research that enables learning the semantics of visual data (2D and 3D).

*

Potential research topics: Neural renderers Implicit and neural 3D representations (e.g. NeRFs and similar) 3D reconstruction of people and objects Image synthesis

Minimum Qualifications

*

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.

*

Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.

*

Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.

*

1 year experience in machine learning and optimization.

*

Fluency in Python or other related languages.

*

Familiarity with deep learning libraries, like PyTorch.

*

Experience building systems based on machine learning and/or deep learning methods

Preferred Qualifications

*

Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.

*

A strong interest in theoretical and empirical research and for answering hard questions with research.

*

Publications in top tier conference venues, like NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, etc.

*

Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).

*

Intent to return to degree- program after the completion of the internship.
