The Position
Role Purpose
Join a global pharmaceutical company and work on real-world evidence (RWE) generation projects
using robust, large-scale real-world databases. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain
hands-on experience in RWE research, contribute to impactful healthcare insights, and collaborate
with experts in epidemiology and data science.
Role scope:
You will:
● Partner with RWD Scientists to support end-to-end RWE projects, including study design,
statistical analysis planning, data analysis, and scientific report writing
● Conduct research using international and domestic real-world databases
● Assist in writing pharmacoepidemiology study protocols
● Support the development of RWE training materials
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze and interpret data from multinational real-world databases
2. Explore the use of domestic healthcare databases for RWE studies
3. Assist in writing research protocols for pharmacoepidemiology studies
4. Prepare training materials for RWE capacity building
Requirements:
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a graduate program in medicine, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related fields
* Undergraduate students with hands-on RWD research experience are also welcome
* Basic understanding of epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology
* Experience with or strong interest in real-world data analysis
Skills & Knowledge
* Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation
* Basic programming skills in R or SAS
* Familiar with literature review and scientific data synthesis
* Understanding of healthcare databases, both domestic and international
* Ability to contribute to the development of study protocols and scientific reports
Core Competencies
* Strong logical thinking and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
* Effective communication and presentation skills
* Proactive, responsible, and eager to ask questions and learn
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience using large healthcare databases (e.g., NHIRD, TriNetx, or Flatiron)
* Involvement in epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology research projects
* Passion for reading medical literature and analyzing clinical data
* Interest in emerging trends and innovations in real-world evidence and drug development
