About the role
We are currently seeking a days based Maintenance Engineer to join our team in (COMPANY NAME) Foods, Ossett. This is a full-time role, on average working 42 hours per week, on a panama style shift pattern.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a fast paced Production facility, carrying out proactive/reactive maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure limited downtime. You will be able to TIG weld products to a high standard and coding's would be beneficial, however not essential as training could be provided.
Key responsibilities
* Planned Preventative Maintenance: Ensure planned maintenance is carried out in line with the site schedule. Liaising with other departments to ensure tasks are completed with little to no impact on operations
* Process Capability: Establish capability of all site services processes and follow statistical process controls to monitor and ensure processes are stable and deliver products that meet customer specifications
* Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing 8 Step Practical Problem Solving or other appropriate KPS methodologies within the site maintenance team
* Communication: Liaise with Engineering colleagues on a regular basis to communicate equipment status, performance against the required schedule.
* Manage Health and Safety: Ensure all engineering work carried out in the value stream meets the requirements of Quality, Safety, Health & Environment policies & procedures.
* Document Standard Work & Standard Confirmation: Ensure documents are up to date and that reflect the preventive maintenance (legionella, daily checks, site compliance)
Qualifications and skills
* Relevant Third Level Engineering qualification or recognised, standards-based time served apprenticeship.
* Relevant experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment or Site Services Role
* Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills
* Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office family of products
* Experience of Maintenance Management Systems & software.
* Asset management knowledge
* Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
