We currently have an exciting opportunity for Business Trainee apprenticeships at our Broad Oak site.
As a Business Trainee you will be working with a team of highly skilled and dedicated employees and fellow apprentices. You will have the opportunity to undertake placements in business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain and Commercial, which support our products and deliver our commitments to the customer. During your placements you will help to improve, develop and implement business solutions for the products we manufacture and support.
The pathway is a combination on-the-job training across various business functions and off-the-job training at a local Further Education College.
You will work towards both practical and academic targets, combining education and tailored placements over a two year period, building upon your technical skills, knowledge and transferrable skills.
Your main responsibilities as a Business Trainee will involve:
The purpose of the role is to offer the opportunity to build upon basic knowledge, particularly the way (COMPANY NAME) operates and our complex stakeholder relationships, for which you will be required to interact with on a day-to-day basis.
Through training and work placements you will gain exposure to real challenges that support our business, gaining a firm grounding in operations and processes.
Your drive and thirst for knowledge will enable you to analyse problems, drilling down to root cause thus becoming a supporting mechanism for the team.
We expect you to be flexible to our highly demanding environment and eager to undertake new experiences.
Your skills and qualifications:
5 x GCSE' A-C including Maths and English Language or equivalent
Efficient and organised
Strong MS Office skills
Personable and adaptable
Commercial or business qualification
UK driving license and access to own car

We are looking for someone who has a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn, along with great team working skills and the ability to use your own initiative. You will have confident communication skills and a keen eye for detail with a flexible and proactive outlook.
On completion of your apprenticeship you will be reviewed against your performance and behaviours and the company will decide how to further your career.
The aim is to transition you to a full time position within (COMPANY NAME) on successful completion of your apprenticeship and while not guaranteed the two year work experience and additional qualifications gains puts you in a fantastic position.
