This role sits within the Field Operations team (North Wales District) and reports directly to the Senior Project Engineer.
You'll work within the Frontline District Team facilitating and co-ordinating all aspects of the repair of HV and LV faults along with the delivery of minor investment projects.

What you'll be doing

You'll be supporting District Engineers and Project Managers in the delivery of minor investment works, fault repairs and maintenance programmes.

To facilitate this, you will be expected to interface with internal staff, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that this robust work programme is delivered in line with business outputs
You will be responsible for supporting Team Leaders in the co-ordination of field staff to ensure that all owned projects are delivered efficiently and effectively and to an exemplary standard in both safety and quality.

There will also be times when you may be asked to engage in the resolution of technical issues or to arrange for the provision of specialist plant or contractor support.

Deliver excellent customer service to all aspects of SPEN's operation and actively promote customer service standards within your area of responsibility.

What you'll bring

Previous experience in a relevant area either a crafts qualification, apprenticeship or S/NVQ

Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and compliance

Developed customer service skills.

Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness.

Developed negotiation, communication and people management skills.

Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.

Working knowledge of IT systems.

Enthusiastic and flexible individual with drive to succeed and self-motivated

Effective decision maker - not inhibited by consultation with others when necessary or give lead as required.

Ability to deliver objectives without compromising on safety, quality or customer service.

Well-developed consultation and negotiation skills.
