Manufacturing Capability Specialist

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus excellent companywide benefits

Position Summary

We are looking for a Manufacturing Capability Specialist to join our Nestlé Waters business; based at our Buxton site. The Manufacturing Training Specialist/ Manufacturing Capability Specialist role is responsible for ensuring that the Buxton factory is fully compliant with external and Nestlé standards and for ongoing support for training and development.

Manufacturing in Nestlé is all about ensuring the consumer receives a perfect quality product, at the right time and place whilst driving losses from our business in order to maximise efficiency & productivity.

A day in the life of a Manufacturing Training Specialist

This role will be responsible for ensuring the operations are compliant to Nestlé audit standards. The successful candidate will display strong coaching, development and people skills required to drive the team's performance through capability building.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

* Develop and execute the site annual training plan. This will include training needs analysis, evaluation, and training records.

* Manage training budget in-line with factory training requirements

* Responsibility for the operational competence of individuals on site and by working in partnership with line managers to ensure the training provision is effective.

* Mandatory Training Compliance: 100% (available employees) completion of all site mandatory training on time and in full which includes reporting to comply with Nestle and External audit requirements.

* Using the market competency framework, rollout a comprehensive training plan to close all functional gaps.

* To coordinate vocational training activity as required according to the resourcing strategy / succession planning.

* To maintain strong links with the Nestlé Academy team (graduate scheme), supporting and coordinating local Academy activities including apprenticeships.

What will make you successful?

To be considered for this pivotal role within our business, we're looking for candidates with proven training experience and examples of creation of training programmes. Previous experience of working in a factory environment or similar would be beneficial but is not essential. In addition to this you will have good understanding of how to use the Microsoft office suite, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. You will be passionate about building capability and delivering a high performing team.
