International Sales Manager - DK International Publishing & Licensing

Our International Publishing & Licensing (IPL) department is a cornerstone of our global business and publishing philosophy, and we pride ourselves in our international reach and depth of knowledge of all world-publishing markets and the interests of our readers everywhere.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Manager for Rights Sales to Greece, Turkey and Israel who is hungry to build on DK's success.
The ideal candidate will already have a sound knowledge of how sales works in the publishing industry, have built strong relationships with key buyers and be ready for the next challenge in their career.
A strong negotiator, they will be able to drive sales with our key partners, expand our customers' portfolio, and think creatively about sales strategy.
A good head for numbers is a must, as well as the ability to analyse industry-wide data and identify trends. They will enjoy working in a busy department and be willing to react swiftly to the ever-changing demands of publishing.
Knowledge a foreign language is an advantage, and knowledge of spoken and written Greek or Turkish would be ideal.
The successful candidate will show strong commercial instinct and will have proven relationships management skills. A resilient individual, able to work under pressure, as well as flexible and open to change should business requirements evolve.
A confident, honest, professional individual who is a strong communicator across all mediums of communication and understands the global markets and customers' needs.
We are looking for someone that works well within a team and can collaborate effectively across departments to ensure agreed requirements are met.
Responsibilities will include:
* Confidently negotiating co-edition and disk deals with our customers
* Actively seeking new commercial opportunities, to create new relationships with new customers, as well as maintaining and grow business with the current pool of publishers
* Accurately maintaining a variety of forecasting systems and databases
* Meet and excel sales projections
* Prepare the budgeting forecast for the upcoming year
* Providing relevant editorial feedback on DK's publishing programme
* Travel to international bookfairs and to the specific markets to meet with current and new publishers
* Tracking titles through the production process and resolving any problems that arise
* Drafting contracts and invoicing
* Sending materials to international publishing partners
The role and team are based in our London office at Embassy Gardens in Vauxhall. We are currently working on a hybrid model with a blend of home and office working.
