Job Description

* Define, measure, analyze and improve process capability of machining, assembly and test processes in various value streams
* Integrate new products and processes into existing and/or new manufacturing capabilities
* Lead Continuous Improvement Projects including guide construction, testing, commissioning and training of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems with a focus on safety and ergonomics
* Design, develop, test and cost justify various fixtures and tooling solutions using Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling CAD software
* Serve as liaison to the Programming, Engineering, Accounting, Customer Service, Logistics and Production floor personnel
* Write procedures and/or work instructions and train applicable personnel on new process implementation and process improvements
* Coordinate the selection, justification, and implementation of new/replacement capital projects
* Identify and implement process design and specification changes for improved quality/cost/manufacturing
* Plan, create, and execute validations and risk analyses (PFMEAs) using Root Cause Analysis, 8D Methods, 5Y and/or other problem solving methodology
* Prepare technical reports and perform capability studies
* Assist with development and verification of hardware and software solutions that contributes to business goals
* Design and implement systems/processes to acquire data in production and logistical processes and deliver data to end users in intuitive format
* Support of local manufacturing execution systems
* Participate in manufacturing and production systems development events
* Prepare project-related bills of material, component selection, cost analysis, drawings, functional descriptions, hardware/software design specifications, schematics, technical documentation
* Assist with various projects related to facility requirements
* Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned


* Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (ex. CHEA)
* Familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts, connected industry, continuous improvement principles, SPC techniques, project management and application of problem-solving tools
* Ability to develop cost estimates for manufactured parts and product
* Ability to read and analyze technical drawings
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Team-oriented, self-motivated, flexible and organized
* Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
* Display understanding of Industrial control systems in automated and semi-automated systems
* Display basic understanding of the development of Industry 4.0 (Connected Industry) hardware and software
* Must have basic experience with data storage/data mining (ie. Access, Excel) and be hands-on mechanically to understand the meaning of the data
* Must be able to link conceptual proposals with "available data"
