CPU Post-Silicon Verification Engineer - CO-OP:
In this position, you will perform CPU post-silicon verification and/or manufacturing tests for the next generation of (COMPANY NAME)'s flagship CPU products Epyc and Ryzen. The applicant will learn: modern (COMPANY NAME) X86 CPU architecture, debug tools and methodologies, and debug processes, and will gain post-silicon experience.
THE PERSON:
You are a highly motivated self-starter, who is passionate about CPU architecture, solving problems and reaching goals. You have excellent coding, communication, and interpersonal skills and collaborate well with others on your team, as well as with other business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
ˇ Development and implementation of system software to verify CPU architectural and micro-architectural features
ˇ Performs CPU functional and manufacturing tests execution via system software and hardware.
ˇ Develop tools, infrastructure, processes and flows to enable CPU features verification on silicon/emulator functional verification
ˇ Debugs test/silicon issues on hardware, emulator.
ˇ Works on related projects and/or assignments as needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
ˇ Excellent Linux and scripting programming skills (Perl, Python, and/or TCL)
ˇ Strong programming skills with C/C++, Assembly and developing applications using them
ˇ Experience with version control software (e.g. perforce, git)
ˇ Familiarity with computer architecture
ˇ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with GPA of at least 3.5/4.0
