Position description

The Automation Engineering Internship with Saint-Gobain provides professional development opportunities and valuable applied learning in a manufacturing production setting utilizing Automation and Industry 4.0 concepts.
In working for Saint-Gobain at our Portage, WI manufacturing plant, in this internship, you will have the opportunity to participate in equipment and engineering related studies, process improvement projects, automation design conceptualization and controls simulation.
During your internship you will have the opportunity to partner with our internal Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Administration teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Currently pursuing degree in a technical, robotics or engineering discipline
What you will bring:
* Knowledge of Solid Works or other 3D modeling software
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
* Creative and critical thinking to engage in problem solving
* Willingness to learn
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
