We're looking for talented, creative software engineers passionate about advancing the boundaries of input in AR/VR. The ideal candidate has interest in building gameplay systems, user interfaces, and working with novel input and controls in an ambiguous technology space. This position will afford you the opportunity to explore the meaning and implementation of future input devices in spatial computing by working full stack with input devices and technologies. You will become part of a full-stack hardware, software, and design team exploring new input devices and technologies in AR/VR. You will participate in input explorations and prototyping, partnering closely with designers to rapidly search and explore the space. We want people who work well in teams; can brainstorm big ideas; have great product sense; work in ambiguous technology areas; have an eye for detail, and are comfortable working on a variety of software systems and wearing a lot of hats.
Software Engineering Intern Responsibilities
Anchor software development efforts for multi-modal input exploration in AR
Develop software for a variety of hardware and software input, including novel sensing systems, and haptic devices, and potentially perform bring-up.
Develop responsive heuristics for novel interaction paradigms
Write clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiency
Learn constantly, educate others, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving
