We seek motivated interns to support the work of the Country Business Strategies Section (CBS) located at the Development Coordination Office (DCO) at (COMPANY NAME) Headquarters in New York.
DCO is the Secretariat to the UN Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG) and manager of the Resident Coordinator (RC) system at the country-level. RCs are the highest ranking representative of the (COMPANY NAME) development system (UNDS) at the country level, with the responsibility to lead (COMPANY NAME) country teams, and coordinating UN support to countries in their implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The Resident Coordinator is the designated representative of - and reports to - the UN Secretary-General.
CBS coordinates and supports the rollout and implementation of the UNSDG Efficiency Agenda in line with SG's targets. This involves, among others, implementing Business Operations Strategies (BOS) and establishing Common Back Offices (CBO) in all 131 UNCTs, and increasing the global proportion of Common Premises (CP) to 50%.

The Intern reports to the CBS Data and Reporting Officer and will support overall data analytics and reporting covering all CBS activities.
This internship is for an initial period of three months and may be extended up to six months depending on the needs of the Office.
The start date is flexible and expected 01 February 2021.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time (5 days per week - 40 hours).
