We are seeking a Project Manager Intern - to join our Transformation (Technical) Program Management (TPM) Team. You'll work between engineering, product, and operations to execute on some of the most strategic, cross-product initiatives.

We're looking for a well-rounded, passionate teammate that can cross topic areas seamlessly-whether in Product Engineering, Cloud Services, Security, or beyond! Your intellectual curiosity and execution mindset will carry you through, and your team will be here to help you learn the ins and outs along the way.

What you'll do:

Position title: (COMPANY NAME) SuccessFactors iXp Intern - Transformation (Technical) Project Manager

Location: Palo Alto or San Ramon, CA - please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings

Expected start date to end date: February 28th, 2022 - June 3rd, 2022

In this role, you'll:

Have the opportunity to drive programs across multiple topic areas that are a high impact on our top and bottom line. You'll work with Product to build new functionality, with Engineering to execute and solve problems, and Operations to make sure we're meeting customer needs.

What you'll do:

* Collaborate with Product Management, Product Engineering, and CloudOps Managers to develop and execute coordinated plans

* Contribute to weekly program status meetings and preparation for executive reporting in a leadership meeting

* Support projects including presentations, follow-up, asset creation, newsletters, etc

* Standardize and drive improvement in our product development lifecycle (PDLC); help rally and organize teams to deliver when unexpected changes come up

* Manage critical situations and mitigate the potential impact on delivery

* Use tools, techniques, and firm standard methodologies to support research, analysis, and problem-solving

* Keep up-to-date with technical developments for the business area

Who you are:

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

You are good at:

* Project management and problem-solving skills; you enjoy using data to solve business problems (bonus if you've worked with scrum teams before)

* Ownership mindset and strong execution orientation - you get stuff done

* Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills to effectively communicate to Engineering and Business stakeholders

* Growth Mindset - you see challenges as opportunities to grow and develop as a professional

* Ability to multi-task, prioritize demands, and work in a fast-paced environment.

* Demonstrated interest in Program/Project Management.

You have achieved:

* Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related technical discipline OR Business degree

* Preferred: Are currently pursuing a Master's degree in any of the above fields

* 1-3+ years of business strategy, business operations, or management consulting experience

* Experience in development, product management, or technical program management

* Understanding of project management principles and practices (skills)

* Ability to productively converse with business stakeholders and engineers alike

* Note: We are also open to candidates with non-traditional, interdisciplinary, or self-directed degrees as well; strong candidates with diverse professional and academic experiences, if qualified, will be considered
