Job Description

This is a remote position, the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

About Sales, Service and Marketing (SSM):
Driving all (COMPANY NAME) Sales for North America this group is made up of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC brands as well as our Sales Operations groups. For the race enthusiast we are also the home to Motorsports and accessories which provides a large contribution to the revenue of SSM. SSM is responsible for all of GM's marketing groups- from auto shows, to new vehicle launches. If commercial, rental or government is your passion check out SSM's Fleet space where we support rental companies as well as commercial businesses and local/federal government. SSM has a mix of sales, support and analytics- see what drives GM.

About This Role:

As a member of the Global Marketing, Corporate Brand team, you will help rally those inside the company and out around this brand vision. This role is not just about watching and learning-you will be helping to define brand strategy, review marketing tactics and messages, analyze effectiveness, and bring large-scale campaigns to life. Our team is highly collaborative and strategic-we encourage creative thinking and big ideas. In partnership with multiple groups across the organization, you will be an active part of pushing the limits of traditional marketing by finding newer and better ways to inspire with our brand story.

Responsibilities:
The position with report to the Global Marketing Manager, (COMPANY NAME) Corporate Brand, and responsibilities will include:
* Assist in managing marketing projects (i.e., print collateral, video, print/digital advertising, event materials, out of home, etc.) by communicating appropriate project information, conducting ad hoc research, working with multiple teams to secure vital approvals, and reviewing materials for accuracy and adherence to our strategy
* Using research and metrics, help brainstorm and improve creative marketing tactics
* Help maintain the (COMPANY NAME) corporate brand internally by identifying off-brand materials, answering questions about meeting brand standards, and helping colleagues locate brand assets
* Support global naming consistency efforts by helping to maintain and socialize a database of name decisions
* Review website analytics and design recommendations to help drive improvements on Gx.xxm

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications or related field from an accredited university or college
* Must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale
* Freshman status or above
* Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
* Able to work full time - 40 hours per week during the summer months

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience

* Communication skills to clearly and concisely share information with multiple teams across GM and our partners

* Familiarity with popular social media platforms
* Problem solving ability, including metrics- and data-driven thinking
* Relationship builder who is comfortable working with different personalities
* Highly organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines and projects at once
* Technical skills-comfortable with MS Office suite and open to learning internal software and databases

The median level of the monthly salary compensation for this role is $4500 dependent upon class status and degree. Benefit options are not available for this role.
